As Signum's Principal engineer, I help my clients understand and maximize the performance of their solar PV installations.After earning my Master’s in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (think systems engineering with a nautical bent) in 2007, I decided to follow my passion for renewable energy and began working in the utility-scale solar energy industry in 2012.Since making that transition, I have built up extensive experience analyzing PV plant performance, from early-stage feasibility studies during development through design, construction and into O&M. This background is an ideal platform to continue to contribute to the industry through my work at Signum.Simple fixes often go a long way, but sometimes the solution is not as easy as flipping a switch or rebooting the modem. When those cases have come along, I managed complex technical investigations involving multiple stakeholders that ultimately provided financial relief to the project owners.I find it rewarding to use collaboration, good communication and my analytical skills to solve difficult problems. When I’m not crunching numbers, you’re likely to find me riding bikes or off on a camping trip with my wife and three daughters.
