Responsible Contract Manager for Aveng Moolmans - Anglo American Kumba Iron OreResponsibilities included:• Ensuring compliance to the Mine Health and Safety Act within the mining area, implementation of safety systems, 2.6.1 appointee.• Responsible to ensure we meet all contractual requirements as set by the Client (Anglo American – Kumba Iron Ore)• Ensuring that all Business Unit strategies is in line with financial year budgets and executed as such.• Mine planning/ scheduling and Cost control, deliver required production targets to Client within budget.• Project management/ Execution within the required time frame.• Contract budget forecasting (Monthly and Financial Year, Strategic Planning & forecast) in line with Aveng strategy.• Management of all Commercial Contractual issues on site.• Ensure that all training functions offered meets required scope as set by the Client.• Succession planning for PIT’s (professionals in training)• Identify and develop required skills set and competencies to achieve business targets.• Inspect subordinates and area for safety and identify registrations to assure legal compliance.• Establish team work and ensure performance of the team• Ensuring that business improvement plans is implemented and executed.

My daily tasks includes but are not limited to the overall management of operational activities on site, Drill & blast integration with client in order to achieve 55MT target yearly. In that managing production operations for 5 x RH 200 Face shovels, 1 x994 FEL, 1 x PC3000 and 44 x Cat 789 Dump Trucks as well 23 support equipment.• Compliance to Mine Health and Safety Act, Responsible 2.9.2 appointment on site, acting 2.6.1 on site.• Production Optimisation/ ensuring cost effective mining.• Mine planning/ scheduling and Cost control.• Project management/ Execution.• Maintenances planning of HME, Downtime planning and management with maintenance team.• Overseeing Technical department, Monthly payments, Budgets, Planning etc.• (OEE) Overall Equipment Efficiency on site.• (AO) Asset Optimisation, Ensuring utilization of assets are as per strategic plan.• Budget forecast (Monthly and Financial Year, Strategic Planning & forecast) • Handling Commercial/ Contractual issues on site. • Training, succession planning• Drilling and Blasting• Compliment and implementation of Production Strategy for Open Pit mining.• Identify and develop required skills set and competencies to achieve business targets.• Inspect subordinates and area for safety and identify registrations to assure legal compliance.• Ensure working area and equipment is clean, safe and in good working condition.• Ensure and comply with safety standards guidelines, safety rules, policies and procedures.• Development and implementation of simple and clear planning system for production• Oversee housekeeping principles are adhered to within the Open pit Section.• Optimization of ore production• Establish team work and ensure performance of the team

• Production Optimisation/ ensuring cost effective mining and supporting the operational team.• Mine planning/ scheduling and Cost control in line with operational startegy.• Project management/ Execution.• Maintenances planning of HME, Downtime planning and management.• Maintenance improvement projects• Managing all technical support functions/departments

• (OEE) Overall Equipment Efficiency/Effectiveness –report to Executive team on monthly basis for all operations.• Continuous Improvement projects.• (AO) Asset optimization – report to Executive team on monthly basis.• Research and development – New technology to improve our operational efficiencies.• Training and Implementation of CI values (6 sigma principals) at all sites across Africa.• Primary loading equipment project – Bucket design and optimization, Maintenance and GET selection for effective mining operations• Truck Payload optimization/ Weight studies (SA operations).• Tendering – New Contract’s• HME maintenance and planning
