Based in Cape Town, South Africa, I am currently working as a Joint Degree PhD researcher at Stellenbosch University in South Africa and Erasmus School of Philosophy (Erasmus University Rotterdam) in the Netherlands. My research is primarily in the field of philosophy of technology, with a focus on the impact of technology on the human mind and planetary ecology. I have two years’ experience as an academic researcher and a research assistant, having most recently worked as a part-time Junior Researcher as part of the high-level, EU-funded coordination and support action project called 'International Human Microbiome Coordination and Support Action' (IHMCSA). My responsibilities included editing and writing sections of project deliverables and presenting on the progress of our work package at the annual consortium in Paris.
