Dr. Johan Nylander is a climate policy and carbon pricing expert. His experience cover policy development and implementation at the international, regional and national levels. This includes advisory support to governments, multilateral development banks, UN bodies and the private sector relating to the implementation of the Paris Agreement, the Kyoto Protocol, regional and national emissions trading schemes and project-based emission reduction mechanisms. Dr. Nylander has performed policy analyses, commissioned research, and worked with the design of market-based instruments for different sectors in several countries. Recent work include capacity-building for Article 6 and support to the development of national frameworks for international carbon market engagement for UNDP, GGGI, GIZ and ADB. Johan joined Neyen in 2022 and has a leading role for services relating to carbon pricing and climate finance at Neyen.
