Key Responsibilities and Achievements: • Lead a global organization of 100 FTE tasked with generation and review of investment proposals for acquisitions and exploration licenses (typically 100 MM - 10 billion USD).• Obtained new exploration licenses in Albania, Gabon, Ukraine and Turkey.• Creation and implementation of a new management control framework for valuation of potential acquisitions, which has led to much more realistic and robust investment proposals.

Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Russia

Led a 100-FTE department overseeing all health, safety, and environmental aspects of the $24 billion Sakhalin project, the world's largest oil and gas project at the time. Achieved dramatic safety improvements (reducing fatal accidents from 7 to 0), implemented a simplified HSE management system integrating Shell, Gazprom, and Russian standards, and transformed the department into a high-performing organization of young, motivated Russian professionals through focused recruitment and development.
