Assigned additional role within B&G Group of Companies. Involved in Events, Hospitality & Tourism promotion project. Produced a 26 episode award winning International Travel and Food Show entitled TASTE of MALAYSIA with MARTIN YAN with the sole aim of promoting Malaysia as a tourism destination.

Fully in charge of project and design of a new 300 rooms, 4 star hotel property at Medini @ Iskandar Development Corridor in Johor. Also responsible in Business Development for the company.

Promoted to the position in charge of the group’s overall Hotel, Club & Property Division. With the promotion, held dual positions of COO & GM for the company. Fully responsible in managing and profitability of the properties under its stable. Also an appointed Director of Cash Band (M) Bhd, Perangsang Hotels & Properties, Brisdale International Hotel Sdn Bhd and Kelab Darul Ehsan Recreation Berhad.

Reports directly to the President of the group. Fully responsible in managing and ensuring profitability of 3 international Class Hotels (Quality Hotel Kuala Lumpur with 250 Rooms, Quality Hotel Shah Alam with 154 Rooms and The Brisdale Hotel with 300 rooms) & International full facility 18 hole Golf Club (Perangsang Templer Golf Club).

Fully in charge and responsible for this 250 rooms hotel. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, Federal Hotels International (FHI). Was also the Resident Manager at FHI’s 5 Star Crown Princess Hotel during my tenure.

Promoted from previous position at Holiday Inn Resort Penang to Hotel Manager. Responsible and fully in-charge of the ongoing rebranding and conversion of the hotel to a full-fledged Holiday Inn hotel. Reports directly to the Managing Director, Bass Hotels & Resorts, based in Singapore.

Primarily responsible for 160 full-time employees for this 350 rooms property. Coordinate the smooth and efficient running of the Front Office, Sales, Engineering, Housekeeping, Laundry, Security, Recreation and all Public Areas with the objective of achieving the organisation targets and required standards. Directly involved in Trade Shows, Contracting and Sales Calls both domestic and overseas.

Department Head for this 250 rooms property. Responsible for all aspect of Front Office operations. Managed and Co-ordinate activities between the Front Office and other Departments.

Assistant Department Head for this 290 rooms property. Helped maintain current operating systems and procedures for Rooms Business as well as other areas of the hotel.
