As a Product Designer at H&M, my mission was to design and deliver great experiences for our customers on all touchpoints (web, app and digital interfaces in physical stores). Our design team had a global responsibility, which meant our work impacted millions of users. Part of our responsibility as designers is to champion design thinking, and I'm proud to have introduced a new way of working in our product team, working around a hypothesis-based backlog. This meant making sure we did the right things by turning new ideas into hypotheses and validating them with customers (A/B tests or user tests) before continuing with development. My focus area revolved around increasing the size of the H&M member base, introducing customers to everything our membership program had to offer and optimizing recruitment/identification in various ways.My work included:• User research• Mapping out user journeys• Sketching/wireframing• Creating high fidelity interactive prototypes• Quantitative and qualitative user testing• A/B testing
