I started my work experience in 1981 as a learner mechanical technican at the Dept. of Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering. During that time i was studying at the Technikon Pretoria for a mechanical engineering technician. The Agricultural Research council took over the Agricultural Engineering department in 1995. I upgraded in post levels during my studies whilei have done my practical at the department on various projects. I first work for the alternative engery section were i've done work on biofuel research, and later working work the agricultural mechanization section where testing and development of machinery were done. I finished my mechanical engineering diploma in 1988. I am still working in the mechanization section in the ARC-Agric Engineering as a senior researcher, thus 32 years of work experience in the Agricultural Engineering sector.
