Johan Van der Merwe worked in the construction sector for six years. He undertook his tertiary education at The University of The Free State graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management and a Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying (Honours) in December 2012. He started his work placement at a construction firm in January 2013 until August 2014. In August 2014 He moved AMPS Registered Quantity Surveyors. The candidate has as a result been involved on a number of construction projects, throughout all of the stages of construction, for various types, designs, sizes, complexity and cost, allowing him to be exposed to all the stages of construction.
