Graduated from the Solvay Business School (Université Libre de Bruxelles) as Commercial Engineer and after having fulfilled my military duties as an Officer in the Belgian Air Force, I join Solvay in 1984 in the Plastics sales export department. Following this five-year experience as Export Manager, I am transfered to the USA to handle marketing and sales in the Animal Health division of Solvay. Back in Europe a few years later, I take over the position of Purchasing Manager for Olefins taking care of the purchasing contracts of ethylene and propylene for all consuming units in Europe. In 1999, after this strategic experience, I went to discover the marvelous French region of Burgundy and in particular Dijon to become the General Manager of Solvay Benvic France, the leading subsidiary of Solvay's PVC compound business. Returning to the Brussels Headquarters in the course of 2004 and after a few years being involved in various purchasing and plastics projects, I join the Government and Public Affairs team. In 2012, I become Head of Government and Public Affairs Europe.
