My responsibilities at one of Sweden’s largest cities were all areas of communication, i.e. place branding, employer branding, marketing, tourism, customer services and support, e-services, citizen interaction and dialogue, international relations and student relations. My area included three unit leaders with a total of 50 co-workers.Results:- Winner of the Swedish Employer Branding Award 2018.- Winner of the national award ”Best City for Students 2017”.- International export of ”The city of Gävle’s guide book for inclusive and norm-critic communication" in co-operation with the Foreign Office. The guide book is on display world-wide in Sweden’s 300 embassies and consular offices during 2019 to 2023, thus strengthening the brand of Gävle.Increased attraction for Gävle as a city for visitors and investors.- Improved public customer satisfaction with shorter response times as well as better support and quality in answers.- High customer satisfaction for in/house support and service (94%).-One of Sweden’s largest accounts for governments on Instagram and Facebook, with 11.000 and 26.000 followers.- High satisfaction among co-workers, score 86 out of 100.Responsibilities:- Strengthen the brand of the City of Gävle by developing strategies for increased support and trust among the citizens and increasingthe attraction for visitors and investors- Strengthen the brand of the employer City of Gävle to attract and keep competent coworkers.- Establish a common view of communication throughout the entire organization of 7.000 employees.- Implement a digital approach in all activities in the organization.- Evolve international relations and co-operations.- Participate in the political management group and support political activities with adequate resources.- Participate in the CEO:s management group, lead and coordinate common communication activities.- Lead, plan and follow up all activities in the five units in the communication department:

Gävle

Director of the Department of Communication at the Regional County of Gävleborg with a total of 7000 co-workers. I had the responsibility for 23 co-workers. Results:- Number 1 in Sweden of informing the public of their rights and opportunities in health-care issues.- Top-five campaign informing and motivating the public about the H1N1-flu and to take protective measures.- Increased customer satisfaction. 75 out of 100 customers were satisfied with the department’s support and services, an increase och 20 points after two years.- Increased satisfaction among co-workers, score 90 out of 100, an increase of 25 points after two years. Responsibilities:- Form and establish a new customer-focused Department of Communication. - Develop workflows and processes in order to increase productivity and quality without increasing costs.- Improve civic interaction and dialogue. - Lead, plan and follow up the department’s activities e.g. web and social media management, content production, video and photo, media relations, support from communications officers and customer services.
