My career in Computer Science has been a constant progression, marked by enriching experiences and significant challenges. I began my journey in Venezuela, the country of my birth, taking on the responsibility of computer technical support and the management of POS systems, cash registers, and network implementation in a family-owned business.Upon my arrival in Spain, I established myself as an administrator and head of the IT department at Siemens Maquinaria, S.A. A Canary Islands-based company founded in 1898 that grew to have more than 7 stores and warehouses throughout the archipelago, connected in a macro LAN through VPN.It was a challenge for me to assume such responsibility at a young age; however, despite the ups and downs, I managed to exceed all expectations by implementing technological and automated improvements for the company's growth. Being a company with a small department, I found myself taking on additional roles such as digital marketing and web development, expanding my skill set.From my experiences at Siemens Maquinaria, I would like to highlight the enhancement of Linux skills, backup procedures, and DNS management.Additionally, the automation of the check issuance system stands out. Through a SQLQuery, I extracted data from the database and converted amounts to words using a C++ macro. This information was then migrated to an Access database, which provided the document's printing format, saving time previously spent on manually inputting large amounts of data to just a click.I also refined my skills in Active Directory and domain user management.From there, my life took a 360º turn as I transitioned from being a client to a service provider at ISP IdecNet, S.A. Here, my networking and systems administration skills undoubtedly grew.As a pioneer in Spain for Internet and IP services, recently part of the technological giant Grupo Aire, I developed skills in FTTH networks, IPv4, VLAN, VPN, hosting, housing, DNS management, IT technical support, network installation, implementation, and virtual server management, adding even more versatility to my abilities.Reaching this point, I would like to highlight my personal ventures:Merchan Market, S.L.Aleph Gastrobar, S.L.While not IT-related businesses, they have shown me the challenges of entrepreneurship and provided valuable insights into managing personal and business resources.
