For roughly 25 years I have worked at Investor AB, Brummer & Partners and Första AP-fonden where I have analyzed and invested in industrial companies and over the years also added autos, energy and materials companies. In these sectors I have seen many cleantech boom and bust cycles, often driven by short-lived subsidies, but in recent years cleantech has really become the most interesting investment opportunity, and it is just getting started. This change was of course driven by the increasing competitiveness of solar and wind, as well as the "push and pull" from politicians, corporates and consumers. The transition to a greener society has just begun. I believe that climate change can be tackled, mainly through adopting new green technologies.Over the past two years, my colleagues and I have worked to establish an investment vehicle in the field of energy transition. It has really been exciting digging into hundreds of innovative companies, both private and public, with solutions on how the society can lower its greenhouse gas emissions at an accelerated pace. The changes we are facing will have an impact on all companies and the investment opportunities are vast.
