LinkedIn has a list of topics you can use to create a great profile summary. They say you only need to cover a few, but I am always in favour of adding value, so I did most of them.1. Describe what makes you tickSimplest answer is problem-solving. The best feeling is to get creative, using all your knowledge, learning a few new things and then get the solution. Luckily managing a creative team leads to a lot of those moments. 2. Explain your present roleGetting people with different skills, different styles and different mentalities to work together to create a unified vision, on time. You would think it is as easy as I need ice cream. But to get that exact ice cream you need, you need to describe it in detail and in a way that they will interpret correctly. Otherwise, you will be screaming for ice cream, multiple times. Not even going to mention the people that keep on changing the flavour of the ice cream3. Frame your pastIt all seemed to start when I was studying, decent at everything but could not get one thing to stick. Same happened when I started working, I was good at picking up new skills and moving into new areas. Not sticking to one specific thing. Then one day, out of frustration with the lack of detail we got in our briefs. I decided to do something about it and that is when I knew I found something I can stick with. Using my knowledge and experience to guide and help people finish projects. 4. Highlight your successesDifferent people would define success differently. I do know what I am proud of though. Helping a brand grow from under 10 SKU’s to over a 1000 is something that makes it feel all worthwhile. In that pride lies a lot of success and failure. Which is another thing I am proud of, learning from my mistakes and those made around me.5. Reveal your characterI am honest and questions like this make it feel like there is no honest way to answer. I am also hard-working, that's how I got to the first answer. So if you didn't believe me the first time, know I worked hard to make you believe I am honest. Everything else is hopefully evident from the way I answered.6. Show life outside of workSome of it is escapism, some comfort, all of it is to find balance. Just like with work, I have a lot of things I like doing and as life goes on some things change, I find myself cycling a lot more these days but I still like playing video games. I like to adventure, I try to stay fit and I have always liked socialising.7. Ask for what you wantJust a chance, I believe I can add value to any team.
