Graphmatech AB is an Awards winning Swedish materials technology Company that develops and sells graphene-based solutions to enable the green transition.My role at Graphmatech involves developing methodologies for lean and effective property screening and quality control of our products. I operate both as an administrative analysis coordinator and as a laboratory technician performing materials analysis of my own. From this I have accumulated skills in e.g. Scanning Electron Microscopy, Energy Dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, Metallographic preparation and analysis, Raman spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, Thermogravimetric analysis - and the list goes on!The incredible flexibility of Graphmatech also gives me opportunities to obtain experiences and skills in project management, process development, laboratory administration and more. All from a fantastic, small and intimate materials development company in the heart of Uppsala!

The Swedish Nuclear Fuel and Waste Management Co (SKB) is tasked with managing Swedish nuclear and radioactive waste in a safe way. My tasks on SKB included investigating the different types of waste that is to be stored in SKB:s waste deposits. This included alot of reading and writing technical documentation and a high level of understanding of the involved technological, economical, political and logistical possibilities and limitations.

I worked on graphene additives that can boost the performing enhancing effects of graphene when used in Lithium ion batteries. The work gave me a deeper understanding of the electrochemical and faradic processes inside a battery. It also taught me a lot about the processes in molecule intercalation related to graphene synthesis. The work also gave me hands-on experience with different material analysis techniques such as Raman and IR spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry and electrical impedance spectroscopy.

Svensk kärnbränslehantering AB (SKB) arrangerar guidade bussturer i Forsmark för turister, politiker och andra intresserade av kärnkraft och kärnbränslehantering. Bussturen går förbi och visar upp de anläggningar som ägs och bedrivs av Vattenfall och SKB, bland dessa ingår själva kärnkraftverket samt SKB:s anläggning för slutförvar av kortlivat radioaktivt avfall (SFR).Som sommarguide var jag ansvarig för att hålla i guidningarna och på så sätt förmedla information om anläggningarna, samt forskningen och arbetet som pågår där. Arbetet gav mig goda erfarenheter inom kommunikation och presentationsförmåga samtidigt som jag fick lära mig enormt mycket om kärnkraft och kärnavfallshantering. Utöver detta fick jag en ännu djupare inblick i debatten gällande kärnkrafts- och energifrågor samt de tekniska och politiska utmaningar som industrin står inför.
