Johan is a Data Engineer at Shopee, one of the leading eCommerce platforms in Southeast Asia, where he is responsible for gathering data for analytics purposes and creating automation machines to make Analysts' jobs more efficient. He has a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Universitas Katolik Parahyangan and a Computer Science certificate from Purwadhika Startup and Coding School.He has a big passion for data science and believes that he can be a change driver in a company using data. He started his career as a Technical Engineer at Asia Pacific Rayon, where he worked with data to find the best process conditions using Microsoft Excel. He then joined Vorta Siber Indonesia, a startup company focusing on developing products implemented with blockchain technology, as a Data Engineer. There, he gained experience in scraping data from competitors, reducing resource usage of database projects, increasing report accuracy, and developing dynamic alerts using Python. He also mentors students and aspiring data scientists at Purwadhika Digital Technology School and MySkill, sharing his knowledge and perspective as a professional digital worker.
