Promoting health equity by reducing chronic disease in marginalized communities and by supporting black infant and maternal health through the Black Infant Health program.

Facilitated general meetings of CHW Collaborative. Developed an executive team. Increased meeting attendance after working with Coordinated Care to provide lunch.

My focus is to reach out to women of color, educating them on the importance of regular breast screenings in view of the increased breast cancer mortality rate in the black community. My duties also include assisting and connecting people to care, blogging, doing outreach events, speaking engagements and social media marketing to change health outcomes.

Assist director in day to day management and center operations. Manage statistics, scheduling, ordering, and the training and supervising of center staff and volunteers. I also reach out to churches and other community agencies in order to better serve our clients by connecting them to helpful resources. As community connector, I serve with the Pierce County Community Health Worker Collaborative, Black Infant Health, Leaders in Women's Health, and the Community Health Worker Committee on issues affecting Women's Health, Community Health Workers and Health Equity issues. I also promote Care Net at various community fairs and events.

Maintained safety and cleanliness of center; communicated new policies and procedures; ordering and procurement. Created monthly reports, schedules and office statistics. Counseled women on pregnancy options; provided material assistance and resources related to pregnancy and family services.

Managed donor database; prepared statements, mailings and eblasts to donors and supporters.

Marketing, Wedding and Events videography, featuring client testimonials and short promos for various organizations including YWAM Adoptions, Doug's Lynnwood Mazda, Care Net of Puget Sound and BSF International.

Responsibilities included answering phones and creating/selling airline reservations for Alaska Airlines and its partners, altering bookings and making seat assignments using Sabre and Apollo computer booking systems.

Specialized in labor and delivery; monitoring, coaching and providing comfort and encouragement to a laboring patient from check-in to delivery; giving IVs, drawing blood, taking vital signs; assisting with newborn APGAR scores; delivery room set-up and tear down; certified in sterile technique and assisted with C-sections.
