CBNRM (Community Based Natural Resource Management) Volunteer, February 2010 – March 2012 Established and manage a Rocket Tea Room with community women, focused on using environmentally conscious stoves and cooking methods to empower women through financial independence.Constructed a ‘Development Remixed’ office to spur creative development, trainings, and facilitate an educational space.Piloted various tree planting initiatives, established vegetable gardens at area schools and health facilities, and taught nutrition.Expanded farming land through the construction of two bridges and hosted two sustainable land care workshops.Preach sermons spanning a wide area of topics on multi-faith and spirituality at various community CCAP member churches.

Organized and supervised participating volunteers from Wellesley College. Promoted the program in the Wellesley and Unitarian Universalist communities by organizing service trips and events.

Hosted non-violence strategy workshops at prisons and expanded volunteer base of the program through community promotions.Facilitated discussions and workshops with prisoners and guards to develop better relationships between each other.

Taught children in the community about sustainable farming through classes, after-school groups, and summer programs.Developed curriculums for farm summer programs, specifically an innovative program on food justice activism.
