While completing a secondment with the recruitment team, I was able to assist store managers throughout their recruitment process to help identify future talent. Although this recuitment was predominantly for entry level positions for over the Christmas period, I was able to gain exposure to the higher level recruitment of senior leaders in the business. I also assisted the team to deliver KPI's, regardless of the increased workload which occured over this period.

Responsible for the safety and compliance in the store. This position included the management around all business and regulartory expectations. The leadership of the store was also a large percentage of the role, with the day to day operations of the entire store being part of the role. The role included compliance around local council outlines in regards to food safety and other operational business areas.

Predominatly focusing on the day to day operation of the grocery department, I was also responsible for the operations of the store in conjunction with the Store Manager. Was able to implement changes which would benefit the overall performance of department and store. Took the store through a multi-million dollar renewal, which saw the improvement on not only our headline sales growth, but the increase on profit margins through profitable business decisions.

Completed a 12 month program with Coles Supermarkets. The program covered an introduction into management within the supermarket industry. The program covered customer, operations, team and financial process within the store environment. Extensive leadership development was also covered throughout the training.

Starting as an intern, I redesigned the company webpage to help market to the businesses target audience. Following on from this internship, I was selected to be a 'Youth Representative' on the Board of Directors. My role in this position was to attend board meetings and help make key business decisions to benefit the community. The organisation assisted in career development and guidance for young people as they entered the work force. As a non-profit organisation, it relied purely on government funding. As the business did not gain funding in the new financial year, I was part of the liquidation of the business and assisted in sharing our strategies with other non-profit organisations to benefit our community.
