Embracing the role of a remote administrative manager comes with its share of advantages. Working from the comfort of my home while maintaining the flexibility to accommodate varying needs has proven to be a fulfilling journey.My career embarked in the early 2000s within the realm of radio. It all began in my hometown of Bloemfontein, where I grew up avidly tuning in to Radio 5 and Radio Oranje. The allure of radio always captivated me, with inspirational figures like Martin Bailey, Alex J, gracing the airwaves. Little did I know that I would eventually step into the world of radio broadcasting.The opportunity presented itself when I joined Highway Radio, a community radio station in Durban, making a cherished dream come true. Shortly thereafter, a call from P4 Radio, a soulful jazz radio station also based in Durban, propelled my radio journey to new heights. I took the helm of the 9 am to 12 noon slot, becoming the sole female presenter on the station at that time.I poured my heart and soul into my work. Subsequently, I transitioned to the marketing department, immersing myself in the dynamic world of radio. It was a whirlwind of activity, marked by encounters with diverse individuals and the hosting of events throughout KZN. Being a part of P4 Radio, the heart and soul of KZN, filled me with immense pride and joy.While on air, I reveled in every moment—the music, the people I met, and the camaraderie within the radio station family. Activating the microphone allowed me to freely convey my thoughts and emotions each day, forging heartwarming connections with our listeners.Hosting events like the Durban Jazz Festival, serving as an MC for the Durban Theatre Awards from 2003 to 2006, and presiding over the Durban Mayoral Awards events were truly incredible experiences, brimming with excitement.However, in 2006, following a rebranding of P4 Radio, I opted to step away briefly from radio to focus on my family. A year later, East Coast Radio beckoned, offering a remarkable opportunity that I readily accepted. The foray into nighttime radio was an enriching experience, but family priorities eventually led me to bid adieu to the radio world.Becoming a mother at this juncture brought immeasurable joy, and I discovered a passion for voice-over artistry. I've lent my voice to reputable brands like BB Bread, uShaka Marine World,and many more, continuing to nurture my love for this craft.This journey, with all its twists and turns, has been a remarkable one, and I am grateful for the diverse experiences that have shaped my professional path."
