Additionally, performed calculations for energy consumption and thermal behavior based on data from the previous season to formulate initial race strategies.Next, generated a CAD model in Catia v5 of the battery system and designing special tools for module and battery pack assembly. Simultaneously, started the cell testing procedure, testing a defined number of pouch cells from the batch to validate manufacturer data. Conducted pulse tests, constant current tests, and spectroscopy to obtain impedance, temperature, SOC-based resistances, and developed an initial RC-Model in Simulink for further simulations.Battery module testing ensured the proper functioning of all laser welds, identifying possible hotspots and the thermal behaivour. This data contributed to vehicle simulations and the parameterization of the cooling system.Completed the assembly of the entire battery, conducting an end-of-line test to verify the functionality of safety features. Performed the first real driving test on a battery simulator to also develop racing strategies for the competitions. Logged all necessary battery data and observed real-time telemetry during driving to always keep the battery in a healthy state.Following each competition, fine-tuned and validated the battery model for simulations, establishing a stronger foundation for the upcoming 2024 season.
