This is done by focusing on detection and prevention of the related transaction payments. With the intention of preventing this trade from being conducted through the financial systems, a unique cooperation has been worked out between the authorities, the private and the non-profit sector. Through the Financial Coalition’s members impeding the means of using the financial systems for this kind of crime, it contributes to increased costs for sales. This in turn increases overhead costs and makes the trade less profitable and less available. In the long term, this also means that the impetus to produce new material is reduced, which in turn should reduce the number of sexual abuse on children.I served on the board of the Financial Coalition with special focus on creating awareness of our work among new payment providers. This resulted in new members joining the Coalition.
