Johan Schaap (1973) is an experienced digital entrepreneur and consultant with a strong background in digital, new technology and innovation. He became addicted to the internet in the early nineties of the last century, saw the bubble burst up close during the start of the new millennium, lived the start-up life in the first few years of this century and endured corporate life for a year before becoming an entrepreneur in 2004. From 2004 onwards he helped large corporates with defining, implementing and improving their digital strategies with a focus on e-commerce. He was part of the team that turned a non-existing online business at KPN (largest Dutch Telco) into the largest operator shop, created the first online e-commerce platform for new automobiles for Pon (largest automobile importer) and wrote a go-to-market strategy for one of the largest drugstore chains in The Netherlands. Alongside he developed a keen interest in new technologies and innovations. He became executive producer for the number one start-up video show (Top Names) in The Netherlands, joined the communities of Mobile Monday, Singularity and Quantified Self and started a webshop/community for Quantified Self products.Today, Johan is co-owner of media & innovation boutique Fast Moving Targets, co-founder of the global video community The Innovation Station and Exponential Organizations keynote speaker and consultant.
