The initial focus of Fortos was Working Capital Management in which a numerous of projects were carried out within the Volvo Group.My role was managing a team of 11 consultants and projects as well as being client responsible for a number of Volvo units and external companies. I was also instrumental in transforming Fortos into a professional consulting firm with a brand renowned for reducing working capital and improving financial performance on the external market. The external business carried out assignments in different industries, such as pulp & paper, steel, agricultural and shipping.During these years, the Sarbanes-Oxley act was introduced in the Volvo Group. I managed two implementation projects and got knowledgeable about compliance with financial policies.Fortos Financial Consulting grew from 15 employees to 33 between 2003 and 2006. The last year, the external business was 1/3 of the turn-over.

I was member of the Nordic team of business developers towards the automotive, manufacturing and high-tech industry. I was transferred to CGE&Y as a part of the transaction between Ernst & Young and Cap Gemini.

A fashion manufacturer, which was a supplier to the large fashion companies in the Nordics and production in Asia, engaged me. The company had a turnover of about 100 MSEK. The task was initially to improve the quality in the order- and supply chain process. I developed a tailored IT-solution, which handled the whole order, and trade finance process that gave the company a competitive advantage by reduced lead-time, more stable customer relations and reduced capital tied-up. Subsequently, I took the role as a business controller and followed-up the product cost and forecasted the cash flow.

A friend and I started a company with the purpose to sell hardware and software related to the newly introduced Apple Macintosh and to develop, market and support business administration systems primary to wholesale distributors and professional services as well as larger corporations and organizations. The hardware part of Malus was eventually spun-off to a separate company while the software development business continued in Malus. That business was then evolving and a partnership for distribution was made with one of the largest Swedish software companies in 1990. Malus employed six persons.
