I have a genuine love of people, connections and making a difference that has taken me down a rather unconventional career path. All my career choices have been driven by a motivation to enhance the community around me and it's been a pretty fun ride I have to say. I am a poster child for the 'non linear' career path, moving from nursing to e-commerce and now taking on the tech sector. My latest endeavour is in the recruitment space thanks to a massive bug bear regarding traditional hiring processes. Culture fit matters, feedback loops should exist and recruitment accessibility should be available to all people, businesses and roles.So, here enters my latest career move, co-founding Stevie; simplifying the hiring process. These patients were often faced with many social and mental health challenges associated with their medical conditions and it was my role to ensure they were well supported. Feelings of isolation, depression and anxiety were common themes and it was my role to provide awareness, education and connection to overcome these.
