John Haskins Email and Phone Number

John Haskins is a news media professional and leader in academia. He oversees admissions, student life and career development departments at the Journalism School. He also oversees the Professional Prizes and Programs departments, along with the Columbia Publishing Course. John previously ran The New York Times Student Journalism Institute.He was an early advocate for digital journalism, recognizing the need to produce original content online. He served as editor of CyberTimes, which chronicled the rise of the web. John was also an editor on National, Graphics, Technology, Business, Real Estate and the News Desk. He led the Escapes section and was the managing editor of both The New York Times Magazine and T magazine. He was the day news assignment editor for The International Herald Tribune in Paris. After moving to London, he managed the newsroom office there, as well as offices in Paris and Hong Kong. He then moved to Hong Kong to help manage the transition of producing the print International Edition from Asia.
