About John Dyer
I am an Experimental Psychologist with experience in Neuroscience, Perception and Skill Acquisition. My PhD was awarded in 2017 from Queen's University Belfast. I have designed, administered and contributed to analysis of protocols using EEG, optical motion capture, mobile devices and remote interaction. At my current role, I have led the creation of a suite of participant-friendly digital biomarkers for CNS clinical trials, covering cognition and brain function, and helped develop protocols for academic and industry-sponsored studies. My principal interest is perception and action, and how the information available in digital interaction can support effective behaviour. This is the lens through which I view digital biomarker design in the context of CNS measurement.
