“Art is my middle name... Literally”For as long as I could hold a pencil I was always fascinated with capturing every detail in my early drawings. By the time I attended college at the School Of Visual Arts, my preferred medium was oils and I honed my craft in photo-realism. After receiving my Bachelor in Fine Arts Degree from SVA, I immediately started my career as a freelancer, creating magazine editorial illustrations and book covers for publishers such as Simon & Schuster and Bantam Books. Soon thereafter I purchased my first Mac computer, mainly to generate invoices. Out of curiosity I acquired my first copies of Illustrator and Photoshop (Version 2.0!) and the rest, as they say, is history.I’ve found that adopting the digital medium has many benefits, including satisfying my insatiable sense of detail, and of course the immediacy not found with painting in oils on canvas. With over 20 years as a digital artist I’ve have gained extensive experience in many industries including fashion, jewelry, beauty care and cosmetics, food and food packaging, consumer goods and giftware. My skillset includes, but not limited to:• High-end photo retouching• Advanced image compositing and masking• Advanced color correction including RGB to CMYK conversion• Complex clipping paths and silhouetting• Product beauty shots including Photoshop 3D mock-ups• Brand equity exploration and conceptualization• Production artist including design, layout and final art pre-press preparation• Corporate instructional demos and product presentations• Vector and raster illustration• Web design.I take a lot of pride in the end product I deliver to my clients. After all, client satisfaction is paramount. I like to live by the motto, "under-promise & over-deliver", which is just another way of saying that I enjoy giving my clients more than what they were expecting.
