As a 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲, multi-billion-dollar platform architect, and machine learning innovator, I've built my career applying NextGen technology (IoT, machine learning, analytics) and big data to create solutions for previously unsolved problems. Few things are more rewarding to me than creating and applying new technologies. Even better is making a difference for people. I am proud to have had the opportunity to contribute to organizations, people, and our country in many ways.𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱?Before serving as a Director of Boeing, launching 2 startups, and innovating, my mentor posed a lifechanging question. He asked, “Why aren’t you failing more?” and I replied, “isn’t the goal to succeed?” He lobbed back, “Sure, but how are you going to change the world?” This was the genesis of a career of ideas and innovation, meaning and purpose, and happiness and joy doing things that mattered.The first venture I founded was a supply management and analytics company, Tradec. We entered the sector in last place and faced competition from two of the largest global distributors. We persevered and grew from industry laggard to 1st place. At our peak, we processed $54B in transactions (annually) and enhanced the manufacturing of 8,600+ companies. Tradec was sold to Agile Software, which was acquired by Oracle.My second venture enabled me to tackle even greater challenges across some of the most complex spaces. USPTO recognized my innovation with 3 patent awards, and I was honored by the US Government with 2 commendations for contributions to national security.Most recently, I joined Solarlytics and built our engineering team from scratch. I recruited at 10+ schools to source the best talent and led every information session with the question, “Who wants to do something that matters?” One of my proudest accomplishments was forming a diverse unit at Solarlytics into a high-performing team that developed unprecedented solar innovation.
