I am a Master's of Marine Biology student at James Cook University, with a passion for marine conservation and a keen interest in aquatic threatened species. I have a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where I gained valuable experience as an intern at the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation. Currently, I am working as a Graduate Student Intern in the Aquatic Threatened Species Program under the Queensland Dept of Environment and Science. I am involved in field-based activities, collecting sea turtle population data and fostering positive relationships with indigenous communities. I use my skills in field work, stakeholder engagement, and data collection to contribute to the preservation and conservation of aquatic threatened species, their habitats, and associated ecosystems. I am eager to learn from and collaborate with other professionals in the field, and to apply my knowledge and skills to support the organization's mission and vision.
