Ensured the Chamber’s positions were communicated effectively to help improve the European business climate for US companies, covering all aspects of EU policy affecting business. Highlights included:- Developed an event to mark the UK’s EU Presidency involving the US Secretary for Commerce and UK Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, for which received the inaugural staff award;- Coordinated the Chamber’s Presidency Group to develop new messaging and arranged delegation visits and high level meetings with government ministers and top officials from Ireland, Germany, Portugal, Slovenia and the UK;- Overhauled written materials including authoring first edition EU Made Simple, press materials and policy positions on Competitiveness, EU-US Relations and Innovation.

Followed the Foreign Affairs and Employment and Social Affairs Committees. Prepared briefings, analysed reports to suggest amendments and advise on voting, organised meetings and conferences. Drafted speeches, press releases and articles.
