I was also responsible for liaison with other stakeholders in the project such as the MAC, TechMAC and NRTS. -
Sub AgentBam Nuttall Ltd Nov 2012 - Oct 2013Moorgate, England, Gb£8 million project to upgrade the existing main runway and Aeronautical Ground Lighting (AGL) at RAF Scampton. Works involved resurfacing the existing runway with PMB SMA to DE 049 Specification. I worked closely with the DIO pavements team to develop a suitable PMB material based on a Nynas Z4 polymer modified binder. Repairs to the southern taxiway were also undertaken including Pavement quality concrete bay replacements, Maxi-Crete repairs and joint sealing. A new 5 bar approach was also installed. I was responsible for the running of the project working for the Agent including programming, supervising the site engineering team, co-ordination of the works with sub-contractors and cost monitoring. -
Section EngineerBarhale Plc May 2008 - Jan 2009Walsall, West Midlands, GbDemolition of an existing Victorian footbridge over the Chiltern line in harrow and replacement with a new 30m span steel bridge during rail possessions. Project cost approx £1.5m. Duties included supervision of Site Engineers, checking of setting out of piles and structural steelwork, co-ordination of fabrication of new bridge and factory testing, control of sub contractors, planning and supervising lifting operations for demolition and re-construction. -
Section EngineerNorwest Holst Jan 2006 - May 2008£8m Bridge Replacement over the West Coast Mainline as part of Network Rail’s Trent Valley 4 Tracking. Works included the demolition of two existing bridges during rail possessions and replacing with a new 25m span bridge which included extensive piling for the new abutments. Extensive widening of the existing railway cutting was also required, which was soil nailed in order to maintain stability of the embankment once it had been cut to the new 60° profile. Duties included setting out of Contiguous Bored Pile Walls, Soil Nails, Drainage, Kerbs and carriageway sections. Responsible for direct supervision of workforce and ensuring quality control on all elements of the works.
