Art TherapistSeminars And Private Practice ( Free Lance At Tri-State Military Va'S And Local Universities Apr 2013 - PresentThe methodology is broken down into 12-16 sessions ( depending on the duration of the time commitment /allotment by the groups of individuals engaged. Each session lasts approx.. 1 ½ to two hours. Although the method is classified as “Art Therapy” I’d prefer to have it understood as counseling or CBT and “art as therapy” in that art by it’s nature is already therapeutic and this methodology is designed to provide more than the moment of peace and engagement. It must enforce the sense of progressiveness and forward discovery which art and sense perception are entirely engaged. Intent herein is to enable individuals to get out of treatment ( not remain) and provide a trusted “tool box” that will be implemented as part of an ongoing process of maintenance.
