Seasoned sales veterans are everywhere! You can find one on virtually every corner pushing something! But, how do you find one that's truly exceptional? Hint: It's a tough gig! I started selling frozen meat out of a cooler installed on the back of a truck and pedaling it door to door some 23 years ago. From there, it was a door to door vacuum sales position that molded what is now a sale professional with extensive experience in multiple environments to include, retail, B2B, telephone and B2C sales positions. You can say I started at the bottom, it's something I'm proud of and honestly, I've had the most fun doing it. In the process, I've grown in areas like ethics and morals, values and abilities, training and coaching with teams and individuals. Natural and learned skills along with patience make up the best, well-rounded sales professionals, in my opinion. However, in today's technology-based marketplace, you have to offer more and communicate in ways you may have never thought of. Sales have led me to video marketing communication, video production, sales writing, team coaching and pitch development. I suppose it's been a natural progression into marketing and business development. These endeavors drove me to resume writing and business sales writing. My next endeavor is going to involve sales & business writing, wherever it may be.
