I love developing software. It’s a wonderful blend of creativity, technical achievement, and collaboration. I began my career in tech as the 20th hire at a series-A startup, writing SQL every day and becoming the go-to expert on our healthcare financial models. I took initiative to automate operational processes that were forcing smart people to waste hours doing boring work; I then advocated for myself to be the one to design and develop our new invoicing experience, and I turned this into the perfect reason I should switch to the engineering team.In the lifecycle of feature development, my priorities are nurturing the right relationships, understanding the problem, and getting feedback as early as possible on my approach. My experience lends itself well to backend positions, but I feel comfortable and enjoy full stack work, too.
