John has had a VA real estate license for the past 25 years and has brought his experience to the team at BHHS PenFed Realty. John was a VA Probation/Parole Office locally for 32 years, retiring in 2007. He was formerly a teacher at James Wood High School and a local basketball official. He is a lifelong resident of the Frederick Co/Winchester area and knows it well. His grandparents family, the Bonds, were some of the original settlers of the Apple Pie Ridge area of Frederick Co where John and Katie reside today. Johns brings an interesting perspective in that he has 15 years experience in real estate in the Outer Banks area of North Carolina and managing rental properties with his wife Katie.John was previously appointed by Governor McAuliffe to the Virginia Board of Corrections which is an Advisory Board to the governor and the Department of Corrections for criminal justice matters.
