At it’s base, I train new staff on how to use the various IT systems they will need to their job. Along with that, I develop new curriculum and update existing modules to keep my training up to date. When new alerts come out, I manage our website and provide meaningful information through various media such as documents, video, or power points. Often times, training needs to be adaptive so new software always needs to be learned and implemented. With my background in IT, I am usually the one who pilots these softwares to train my peers. Sometimes I have to develop solutions for our Wordpress website to allow new functionality to be used to meet certain new needs, like when social distancing was put into place.I’m a jack of trades in this role, but reaching out to management to understand their pain points and translating that into good training to alleviate those pain points is my primary objective.
