I am a well versed videographer, editor, writer, producer and director with experience in the many fields that require these skills. I started my career as a freelancer for multiple companies in NYC where I worked for seven years. Since then I moved to Richmond, VA where I’ve started my own wedding film production company and have booked, filmed, edited, and delivered over 300 weddings over the past 6 years. I have worked in tangent with social media specialists, in terms of content ideation, copywriting, scheduling shoots, creating content with iPhones, green screens, and Canva, as well as any editing or additional work I may need with the various applications in the Above Create Suite, primarily Premiere, After Effects, and Illustrator. There hasn’t been nearly a day I haven’t opened Premiere Pro since Apple killed Final Cut 7, and while I wouldn’t call myself a motion designer and am no stranger to After Effects either. I am highly knowledgeable in DSLR videography as I use it to film all my company’s weddings as well as an award winning feature film that I shot myself while living in NYC. This also means I know how to direct trained and untrained talent to acquire the best interviews, b roll, and any footage that may be needed, not to mention high fidelity audio, and mixing it with Premiere and Audition. I have done every stage of post production, from on site media management to in house archival. I am accustomed to working with Google, be it gmail, chat, sheets, docs, calendar, etc. and have prepared budget projections for supervisors and marketing coordinators. While I have filmed and directed many sit down interviews (including one with Jake Gyllenhaal for a Denis Villeneuve film!) I have also become very good at translating video concepts to those who are not “video literate” with my wedding film clients.
