By nature, I'm a problem solver. That is where I'm at my happiest and most creative in life and work. I excel at most endeavors I engage in and studying at the University of Canterbury has enabled me to apply myself in an academic environment. I'm proud of my achievement at being one of the top 4 Geography students in 2022 and being rewarded with a scholarship. I am currently employed at UC as a teaching assistant in the school of Earth and Science, a role I enjoy very much.In addition to my developing Spatial Data Science skills, I have a wealth of knowledge and experience rooted in the electrical engineering and control systems fields. Past employers include Fisher & Paykel and Scott Technology, two iconic New Zealand engineering companies. Other than technical skills, I have a very strong work ethic and focus that is fostered in such organizations. Following completion of my qualification next year, my focus will be securing a role in which my problem solving, academic and practical skills are fully utilized. I expect my next employer will have a strong focus on the drive towards a sustainable future, a concept I believe is the major imperative for New Zealand and the world.
