I am currently a Quality Control inspector for Petersen Inc. as a CWI, ACCP level 2 VT, ASNT-TC-1A Level 3 LT, MT, PT tech. I work with parts from Nuclear to aerospace to ASME code vessels. I perform visual inspections as well as NDE required by customer and code standards. I also check assembled parts to blue prints to ensure good quality parts make it to our customers. I am starting to perform dimensions and learning how to run a laser tracker and a faro arm to check parts to a model for some customers. At Petersen Inc. on a daily basis I am using a wide variety of codes to inspect to. Anything from AWS D1.1 to ASME to Nuclear NQA1 codes to ensure high quality parts for the customer.

I was a level II Fluorescent Penetrant Inspector for Barnes Aerospace. I perform water washable and post emulsified level 3 sensitivity fluorescent penetrant test on all parts that come from the production lines. All parts are 100% inspected welds and base material to meet the customer requirements and current code requirements before leaving the facility.

Tulsa, Oklahoma Area

I worked as a Quality Control Inspector at Cust-o-Fab where we build Heat Exchangers, Pressure Vessels, Air Cool coil sections, and do lots of rework during shut down periods at refineries. We build our products to meet ASME section 1, 2, 5, 8, and 9 and TEMA standards and API 660. Also our products comply with customer’s specifications by following blue prints. Cust-o-Fab is a fast pace shop that sets ourselves above the rest by being the fastest, safest and most dependable shop around. My job consist of but not limited to checking material, layouts, fit ups, final dimensions, clean up, paint, hydros, making data’s, making name plates, working with outside inspectors, making files ready for code and checking machined parts. I also take brinells, UT thicknesses, check Penetrant tests, make Mag particle checks on parts, visually check welds, interpret x-rays, make ferrite checks, and more. I document everything in our drawings, and inform the outside inspectors and the authorized inspector of our progress and schedule trips for the A.I. when we need them. I also help out with anything I can to help production move smoothly and make our deadlines.
