I have many years of experience in the business, manufacturing, electronics, and laboratory certification industry. This extensive experience includes business management, team management, project management, total quality management, and more importantly in the transformation of a business through Lean principles. I have gained a reputation for bringing products, services and culture change to fruition.Working with SGS, in my previous role as Business Manager of Traffic Systems, for the past eleven years, I have been an active contributor to business development and have directed the certification laboratory that is recognised as the SGS global ‘Centre of Excellence’ for speed enforcement equipment. My ‘lead-by example’ management style combined with my lean methodlogy experience has engaged the team to strive for the best practices whilst always analysing, developing and questioning processes and procedures. This, in turn, has led to dedication to the continuous improvement process combined with methodical detailed planning to achieve goals.Prior to working with SGS, my time at various large to medium sized electronic and manufacturing businesses, Siemens and Landis & Gyr, provided a widespread understanding of the requirements in manufacturing and business as well as total quality management practices. These appointments included management of manufacturing and operations, preparing and adhering to annual budgets, management of industrial relations issues, scheduling and meeting client needs through the basic principle of Quality Cost Delivery targets.
