Stop Hate UK is a leading, independent organisation committed to supporting individuals experiencing all forms of Hate Crime Responding to one of the key recommendations following the inquiry into the racist murder of Stephen Lawrence, Stop Hate UK operates a 24 hours, 7 days a week helpline where individuals can report, in confidence, and seek support. Have been working with a consortium of partners and colleagues across the UK developing a new project to be launched August 2022. Counting down the days to the launch! Currently engaging with individuals and organisations down South to help develop hate crime services. Putting to good use some of the knowledge, skills, and experience gained over many years to make a difference. Anthony Walker Foundation was established in 2005 after the senseless killing of Anthony in a racially aggravated attack. The purpose of the Foundation is to promote and value diversity, strive for equality and seek harmony within communities using music, sports, arts and education.The Foundation works alongside criminal justice agencies and is committed to raise understanding within communities of the damaging effects of hate crime. Equally as important is the Foundation's determination to help people understand the necessity of reporting all hate crimes and incidents. Research tells us of under-reporting for a wide range of reasons however there can be no excuse for hate crimes. The Foundation delivers a number of workshops including Colour Blind and Hate Crime & Diversity for young offenders. The latest workshops will incorporate the CPS, NUT & AWF collaborated Racist & Religious Hate Crime Project Workshops aimed specifically for schools.

The Group is made up of individuals from across Merseyside who meet bi-monthly with Merseyside Police to offer advice and feedback on policing issues. The independence of the group allows members to challenge constructively and speak openly on a broad range of issues.Role includes providing feedback and views on any aspect of policing; offering advice at Critical Incident meetings; ensuring community perspectives are considered within Merseyside Police Force.

Strategic role managing externally funded projects delivering enhanced services including hate crime and domestic abuse. Responsible for managing budgets, preparing and submitting reports and accounts to external partners and funders. Developing and working with effective partnerships and raising the profile of the organisation. Reviewing practices and ensuring service delivery meets needs and requirements of service users and national standards.While employed at Victim Support I was responsible for establishing an enhanced service to victims of hate crime in Sefton attracting local funding from Sefton Equalities Partnership. This initiative attracted the attention of Liverpool's community safety partnership and I successfully tendered to establish a dedicated hate crime service within Liverpool.

Responsible for management of two branch offices within Sefton district of Merseyside, ensuring policies, procedures and service frameworks are delivered to National Standards; supervision of staff and volunteers; training and accrediting of staff and volunteers; representing organisation at multi-agency partnerships, development of project work and enhanced services. Prepare reports and data for senior management and National Centre.
