• Work directly with manufacturing and applications engineers to resolve internal and external issues regarding quality• Support production and QC Inspectors when addressing quality issues regarding incoming raw materials and outgoing production parts• Review and process Discrepancy Reports (DRs) generated internally to address product quality• Developed and implemented an electronic customer complaint process to capture and manage complaints unrelated to product quality• Implemented a fully electronic Defect Information Database that is used daily by the production supervisors.• Perform routine internal audits of our production and external audits of our vendors• Responsible for contacting vendors regarding material quality issues and working with them to develop and implement a Corrective Action plan• Responsible for reviewing and approving production documents before they can released• Implemented an efficient process for assigning complaint ownership internally and followed up on open complaints on a regular basis• Process customer returns and work directly with our customers’ Quality Engineers to research and determine root cause and develop and implement a Corrective Action within the committed timeframe• Managed the Quality Manual, Quality Procedures, Work Instructions, Forms and Standard Operating Procedures to comply with QMS requirements• Compile data and generate reports to support the Quality Manager in preparing the monthly Management Review report• Supported Epicor ERP implementation team from initial setup through go-live• Group member of several Lean initiatives to streamline processes in both production and administration
