Prevention Supervisor
Manage a team of seven who provide HIV Counseling and Testing, Health Navigation and Mpowerment Intervention implementation.Supervises and is responsible for community engagement, needs based assessments, sexual health risk reduction small group facilitation, event coordination and programmatic planning.Provide health education services specifically related to STD/HIV.Engage communities in conversation discussing high risk behaviors, aspects of treatment as prevention including PrEP and HIV linkage services and more.Provide health education on condom use and condom negotiation skillOversee daily operations of HIV/ STD Prevention outreach activities in Legacy Central Beaumont.Oversee daily operations and expenditures for Legacy MpowermentAssist in planning, implementing and evaluating a comprehensive program to provide HIV/AIDS educationMaintain confidentiality of recordsRefer participants to testing agencies to link individuals to careDetermine and implement prevention outreach schedule.Develop and maintain offsite locations where prevention services are provided.Assist with the selection and implementation of evidence-based programs and practices.Provide and facilitate referrals to various prevention services, social services and early preventions and health care.Establish and maintain referral sources for HIV positive and high-risk HIV negative clients.Monitor staff prevention activities.Perform employee evaluations and develop plans of action designed to cultivate professional growth.Responsible for all monthly, quarterly and annual reports development and submission as it relates to internal processes, CDC and DSHS contracts.Function as HIV/STD Prevention Counselor/ Educator.Provide phlebotomy services
