I make routine visits to the projects to make sure things are being built per plan and specifications, verifying quantities and track project progression. In the office, I handle tasks such as: cost reports, cost-to-complete reports, payment applications, SWPPP reports, updating CPM schedules, creating schedules on Primavera P6 for new projects, reviewing daily reports, submitting RFI’s, submittals, NOI's, claims, change orders, purchase orders, perform quantity takeoffs, estimates, ordering materials, coordinating daily sub-contractor activities, and so much more.Making sure there is always good communication between the office and the field leaders is very important, so a-lot of my time is spent doing that. I trained to perform various task in operating heavy equipment on almost any kind of construction project and to also train younger airmen how to operate and perform construction tasks. My military construction experience ranged from constructing/repair roads, runways, PEB buildings, pavement operations, crane operations, and much more. I previously was DEMO certified. On my most recent deployment, I was tasked as the person in charge of QA/QC for 8 simultaneous project sites, to include the rebuilding of an airport taxiway, construction of two new PEB buildings, and the installation of new underground electrical and water utilities, ensuring they all were built per specifications and in good quality.
