Serves as Chief Supervisory Engineer for the Facilities Management Branch Site Operations Division (SOD). I am responsible for providing effective management and operation of facilities to support and enhance National Energy Technology Laboratory’s (NETL) mission at our Morgantown, WV; Pittsburgh, PA; and Albany, OR sites. This encompasses approximately 1M square feet of building space, 128 buildings on 243 acres. My primarily responsibilities include providing technical and supervisory functions for all maintenance activities, space management, management of NETL property and assets, including small purchasing, receiving and store room and warehouse operations, property condition assessments, management of NETL fleet vehicles, daycare maintenance operations and employee performance. Responsible for implementation of all energy management goals related to facilities and engineering. Including but not limited to executive orders, DOE orders, NECPA and EPACT. I oversee Site Support Contractors to ensure NETL facilities are maintained and operated effectively to facilitate NETL’s mission. I manage the implementation of NETL’s Energy Management and Reporting Programs. Responsibilities include: soliciting project inputs to meet High Performance Sustainable Building, EPAct and EISAct requirements as specified in applicable DOE Orders; management of division resources to develop Project Requirement Documents which include, project scope, cost estimate and justification; implementation of assigned projects to include development of project designs and SOWs, collaboration with acquisition to develop procurement packages, evaluation of bid packages and management of awarded projects; preparation and submission of NETL’s Ten Year Site Plan, Annual Sustainability Plan and other related reports necessary to meet DOE requirements. Also responsible for implementing work in accordance with the NETL’s Integrated Safety Management Program.
