During my employment with Pension Department I developed good communication skills together with professional skills. I learn how to organise data and prioritise, to maximize the efficiency of the work. I learn to work within the team and help others in need. As an administrator/deputy manager at F.A.R.A. Foundation I used my previous learned skills to lead a team of various employee (cooks, carers, handyman) for the benefit of the children. I successfully managed (and actively contributed) a diverse range of projects from conception through implementation (shelter accommodation for children, orchard and garden). I use my skills in communication to help the children through their adolescence and then to help them to find their first job and way in life. Also, I kept myself informed and updated within my area of competencies –Health and Safety inspector. At Collingtree Nursing Home I continued to use my skills, making sure that the safety and wellbeing of the residents and staff are maintained. I have participated constant to various in-house courses (health and safety, dealing with clients with challenging behaviour, etc.) but also relevant courses for my job (P.A.T.). Since 03/2017 I have taken the responsibility of managing the maintenance three nursing homes belonging to St. Matthews Health Care. Part of my job description is to ensure that the residents and staff are safe in regards with all aspects of maintenance included but not limited to Health and Safety, Infection Control, etc. also during this time I attended to various relevant courses such as P.A.T. testing, basic electrical skills, Patient Hoists, IOSH and ongoing plumbing courses. All this to reduce the costs of hiring various contractors which are charging a lot for small jobs. Also, to reduce the maintenance costs, I make sure that various system are running smoothly by keeping regularly contact with the contractors which provide the service such as DACT Fire&Safety Systems, Hertz Electrical, SmithsFire, Orona Lifts, 1st Access windows,Fairfield Care Products etc.I do also manage junior staff, make sure that training is up to date, the risks in the Homes are minimal.Since November 2020 I’ve become maintenance lead manager and i am looking after all aspects of maintenance and related jobs within the company, working with various professionals involved in maintaining the home’s safety and making sure that their activity is interrupted. At this moment I am overseeing over 10 homes within St.Matthews healthcare company.
