CurrentJohn has served as court appointed receiver for over 20 years in both state and federal court, and alsohas served as Chief Restructuring Officer for a high profile bankruptcy, handling over 150 hotelreceiverships.John retired from Aimbridge Hospitality on December 31, 2023 after co-leading the Lender Services practice during 2022 and 2023 after John and his partners sold Prism Hotels & Resorts to Aimbridge in December 2021.John was a Dallas Business Journal 2021 CFO of the Year Honoree.John began his hospitality career in 1989 with the predecessor to Bristol Hotels & Resorts; theDallas based Harvey Hotel Company, as Director of Finance when the company had 8 hotels.During John’s tenure, John advanced to Vice President/Corporate Controller and ChiefAccounting Officer at Bristol and the company grew to a public company traded on the NYSE,with 130 hotels, and with over $1.0 billion in revenue, and the largest owner/operator of full servicehotels in North America, and the largest franchisee of the Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza brands.Prior to joining Prism, John also served as the Senior Vice President/Chief Financial Officer forHQ Global Workplaces, Inc., John led the post-merger integration of and managed the finance andaccounting functions of the two largest executive office suite operators in the US and developed anew corporate finance and accounting team in Dallas which handled the finance function for 420office locations in 19 countries.Immediately prior to joining Prism, John served as Senior Vice President/Chief AccountingOfficer for ClubCorp, Inc. and was responsible for the accounting, financial planning and analysis,and human resources functions for the world’s largest owner/operator of private golf and businessclubs, with over 170 locations in the US and abroad.John is a 1979 graduate of Texas Tech University with a BBA in Accounting and was inducted asa Certified Public Accountant in 1981 and is now in retired status.
