About John Baker

Following completion of military service as an architect with the U.S. Air Force, John settled in Anchorage, Alaska where he practiced architecture for sixteen years working for leading design firms as well as heading his own firm. He designed and managed of a large number of projects including domestic and international airport terminals, numerous elementary and secondary schools, college educational complexes, commercial and justice facilities, and residential projects.John relocated to Aspen, Colorado in 1990 where he became senior project architect for the firm established by legendary Aspen architect and planner, Fritz Benedict. After becoming senior partner, John established two more offices in Carbondale and Glenwood Springs, Colorado.John currently designs and manages multi-million dollar commercial projects, public facilities and custom residences using advanced Integrative Design Management which is re-defining the practice of sustainability.
