Geotechnical Engineering Project Manager and Design Build Transportation Project Manager: Geotechnical design manager of numerous highway projects. Project manager for the company’s largest contract to date, a $9 million Independent Quality Firm role on the $320 million Legacy Parkway Design-Build project. This project was over 1000 miles from the closest company office. Recruited and hired staff of over 30 personnel to start this project. Led the project as the Independent Quality Manager, responsible for quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) team, including design reviews, plan submittal reviews, environmental compliance, right-of-way compliance and compliance of all construction activities

Led the engineering department that included civil, geotechnical, chemical, mechanical and structural engineers, geotechnical drilling staff, surveyors and construction management personnel. Responsible for department level profit and loss, client relations and marketing. Projects included numerous industrial and commercial process treatment facilities, and air discharge permitting projects with staff chemical and mechanical engineers; numerous hazardous and industrial landfill design and construction management projects, numerous site civil design projects with staff civil engineers and numerous projects requiring structural related engineering.

As the only professional engineer, was responsible for reviewing and performing engineering analysis for environmental and geotechnical projects. Oversaw and managed drill rigs and drilling crews and construction management staff. Worked with local design-build contractor as preferred geotechnical engineer and construction management firm.

Opened office for new geotechnical engineering company. Expanded into landfill design and environmental services based on prior experience. Owned and operated getechincal drill rig. Led this small town office from a single employee to a staff of 7 full and part time employees within the first year.

Responsible for design of RCRA hazardous waste landfills and low level radioactive waste landfills. Performed design and prepared bid documents for numerous landfills. Assisted local facilities select contractor and oversee construction. Prepared financial assurance documents for bonding perpetual third party closure and maintenance.
